Thursday view from my Window and a bit more!

Look, no snow!! We've had wind, a lot of wind and rain but it's been quite mild.

Linking up with Jane for the Thursday view

I've had a busy week, so have not been able to catch up with blogging. I've been crocheting flowers as requested by someone.....

I've made myself a bunny.....

.....my long winded nickname for her is 'propeller ears, boob feet, chicken face!'

I've also been busy with a lot of other stuff and then on Tuesday, hubby was leaving work with these in his hand, which he'd just bought for me - sigh!.....

.....they are called 'sweetheart roses' and they are gorgeous but.....he slipped on wet leaves when leaving work and holding onto the above landed fist first on the floor, the result.....

.....a fractured wrist!!
All the snow and ice we've had and he slips on wet leaves but to be fair, wet leaves can be pretty deadly.
Around 5-6 hours were spent in A&E( I got there about an hour and a half after hubs mainly due to train cancellations....grrrrr, just what I needed when trying to get to hospital quickly! A journey which should have taken 30 minutes max!) Anyway, 2 hours of the 5-6 were waiting to be seen to start with, then it was x-rays, doctors, nurses, plastering etc etc!

This morning I woke up with sneezing and runny nose and now have a raging sore throat! I hope it's just a passing bug as I really don't want to pass this on to hubs, last thing he needs.

Finally I must say Hello and Welcome to my new followers, lovely to meet you and have you here and I will try and catch up with blogging as much as I can.

  3. So sorry to hear about your husband's accident and wish him a speedy recovery. But the roses are gorgeous and so are your crocheted ones. I'm still trying to work out how to make the hearts.

  8. Hi Suzy,
I love the crocheted flowers and your beautiful bunch of roses. So sorry to hear about your husbands fall and hope he is recovering well and not in too much pain. The roses don't look damaged at all. I bought some tulips today and when my husband got home he told me he had been thinking of buying some for me, maybe it was just as well that he hadn't and ended up in a similar situation to your hubby!

  11. Ah your poor chap with his fractured wrist! Your sweetheart roses are beautiful though! I like the bunny's propeller ears, especially the fabric on the under side and the little pink bow is a sweet touch. Hope your sore throat goes as quick as it came.

  15. Aww your poor hubs, I feel for him as that happened to me a week ago, but I slipped on the ice. I too have a broken right wrist, have had metalwork fixation--plate and screw. It's so uncomfortable and also annoying not being able to do things. I'm managing to type with left hand!
